She blamed the girl for not knowing what she was doing. I came in at 10pm, told the front desk girl I will be using the coupon, she said ok, but then later the lady who rang us up did not give us the discount because of the 9pm cut-off.

NOTE: the 15% discount is only applicable BEFORE 9pm. Essentially this karaōke place provided a t.v., Chromecast, speakers, and a room for $ 35/hr. I don’t smoke and this was a huge turn off for me. This smokey air lasted for about half an hour and eventually dissipated. Finally, halfway through our karaōke, cigarette smoke infused air came in. We gave up on using the mics and just sang aloud. One was overly sensitive and both mics screeched loudly. Also, we were unable to adjust the key and we missed out on the usual goofy random Asian clips that show on the t.v.

With YouTube, it’s not possible to queue songs, so we were constantly typing in the next song we wanted to play. However there were so many ads and we had to wait for the video loading. Without Chromecast, we would have left after seeing the song selection. I did like that we could use Chromecast to play songs from YouTube on the t.v. The staff said he could not provide another song book. I’ve always had two songbooks in my previous experiences. I requested another binder so we could look at the songs at the same time. There was only one binder of songs in the room. The book of karaōke songs is filled with outdated songs. Staff was not very helpful or particularly welcoming. The A/C only hit half the room, so the other half of the people in the back of the room were feeling uncomfortably hot. When we tried to turn the temperature lower, the machine would automatically go back to its default temperature. There is a small A/C unit to cool the room, but it didn’t work well. There were no instruments like tamborines. The room itself is standard karaōke style with flashing color lights. The inside of the karaōke place was uncomfortably warm and stuffy. The outside of the karaōke place looks kind of shady and the facilities feels old and dated. I was relieved there was free parking available in the tiny cramped parking lot. This was my first karaōke in the Bay Area. I’ve been to karaōke places in NY, Dallas, Austin, and Seoul, so I may have higher standards. Rate for room to fit four people was $ 35/hr. 00 just go to your house download the app $ 39. Then something happened and it didn’t want to connect. There wifi might be slow here cause when using red karaōke it was taking way to long to load. This is like singing at home in my living room. I wanted to fill that whole diff kinda vibe in a karaōke place. We’re planning to have a huge Event Soon.
